I remember seeing Smuin Ballet when I was a kid, thoroughly entertained by classical ballet to the tune of popular holiday music. But it became abundantly clear shortly before the show that Chris knew nothing about ballet, and really wasn't a fan. Despite that, he made the most of it (being the awesome guy he is), but also poked a little fun at the show and it’s flare for the dramatic. Even though you can’t win them all, every winter when we hear the tune, “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, we share a glance and a smirk at the MD that didn’t quite work out, at least for Chris!
Chris is a fan of saying this when things don’t work out as expected. Let’s just say that this MD didn’t work out exactly the way I had hoped.
