I ate too much. | Mystery Maker: Kathleen Date: 4/16/2011 Location: Half Moon Bay & Pescadero, CA |
During my time at POST, I spent a lot of time on the coast exploring farms, ranches and beaches. Tough job, right? There were so many new places to discover and I decided to share the hidden gems with Chris. After all, he often heard me telling stories of fun adventures and outings through my work, which to me was “just another day in the office”. Along with scenery, the coast offered some of the best eats in the Bay Area (and beyond). I decided this date would be a "culinary adventure down the coastline”.
Our first stop was Sam’s Chowder House in Half Moon Bay. With million dollar views and the best chowder in town, this proved to be a great first stop.
Next up was Duarte’s, tucked in the small and colorful town of Pescadero. People come for all over to try their artichoke-tomato bisque soup. Chris quickly became a big fan. The last stop was Pie Ranch for a unique mash-up of volunteering followed by an authentic barn dance. While we intended to stay for the barn dance, I’m afraid we were thoroughly stuffed and decided to skip the dancing. We promised ourselves we’d be back someday for some dosey-doe and swing your partner round and round… ! |
