Back when I worked in Ohio, I had a friend at work that had just come back from San Francisco and could not stop talking about this musical she saw called Wicked. It was unlike any story or thing she had ever seen or experienced and it was a sight to behold. Still hard to tell if it was truly the show itself, or all the allure of San Francisco that made her so gushy over it, but who cared… I wanted in!
Kathleen knew I really wanted to go and for my birthday, she surprised me with tickets to finally see it with my very own looking balls. It was as good as I had built it up to be and was absolutely blown away by the production. We enjoyed it so much, I knew we had to see it one more time before the run ended in September. So I opted for a Mystery Date repeat viewing! Happy to say the second time was just as enjoyable as the first. Elphaba was played by an understudy this time, but we actually enjoyed her performance more. Not all Mystery Dates have to be new experiences… this one worked great and we highly recommend the musical if you haven’t seen it!
