If you live to be 100, I want to be 100 minus a day so I would never have to live a day without you.

I have many district memories of visiting the Exploratorium as a child. It was always such a thrill to run from station to station, exploring with the five senses, learning about everything from optical illusions to centripetal force. What a wonderful gift to children — the power of knowledge through having fun! Apparently, it still works for adults...

Chris and I headed out to the the Palace of Fine Arts, which happens to be in one of the most beautiful settings in San Francisco. Unlocking our inner mad scientists, we made our way through the sea of middle schoolers by rediscovering long forgotten science lessons.

There was still another mystery to be discovered as I had signed us up for a tour of the Tactile Dome. This is a pitch-black self-guided tour using only the sense of touch to get from room to room. Having missed this as a kid, I was really excited to experience it with Chris.

We entered "the dome” and found our way through twists and turns in complete darkness. With each step, there was something new to discover… a tunnel to shimmy through, a slide to go down, and a room of bean bags to wade through. The adventure was surprisingly challenging and super fun with lots of laughing required!
